About our Program
Studio Sorrento offers Interior Design students a transformative semester abroad in Sorrento, Italy. Hosted by the Sant'Anna Institute Links to an external site., students will live and study in a restored 18th-century convent with modern amenities, including private gardens, rooftop terraces, and a dedicated design studio.
The program includes 16 credits: Bellevue College courses such as a Vertical Interior Design Studio, Design Drawing, and an optional Internship (for BAA students), along with Sant’Anna courses in Italian Language and Archaeology focused on the classical world. Students will also enjoy field trips to Naples, Pompei, Venice, Milan, and Paestum.
The program allows students to graduate on time without extra semesters. It's an opportunity to immerse in Italian culture while advancing academic and professional goals.

Sorrento, located on the Mediterranean in the Bay of Naples, offers a cosmopolitan yet small-town atmosphere where students quickly feel at home. In the summer, it’s a popular tourist destination, providing students with modern services and conveniences alongside its natural beauty and architecture. Sorrento is well-connected to Naples, and from there, students can easily travel to other parts of Italy and Europe. Day trips to Positano, Capri, Naples, Pompei, and Rome are accessible via affordable and convenient transportation options.
