Digital Portion P3

Multimodal Persuasive Media Requirements

This digital portion of Project Three will be posted in Canvas. You will post a link to your digital project along with a paragraph that describes/reflects on the rhetorical choices you made in remediating your written essay into a digital piece. Your reflection should address how you employ logos, ethos, and pathos, and it should reflect on why you think these choices are the best ones.

  • Websites should contain a minimum of three pages:
    • a home page that presents the topic/issue, problem, and why the viewer should care about this problem
    • page(s) with logos and pathos appeals
    • a clear call to action that includes specific actions that newly engaged stakeholders can realistically perform.
  • Websites should contain links to at least one other relevant video (non-static) resource, as well as links to websites of other significant stakeholders in your chosen issue.

  • Videos (Windows Movie Maker or iMovie) should include all of the following:
    • clear presentation of the topic/issue, problem, and why the viewer should care about this problem
    • logos and pathos appeals
    • a clear call to action that includes specific actions that newly engaged stakeholders can realistically perform.
  • Videos should be 2 minutes minimum to 4 minutes maximum in length.

  • All varieties of persuasive media must include proper attribution (citations) for ALL material presented in the remediation.
    • Include "credits" for all source material (including images) within your remediation.
    • In some cases, this may include the name of the Web source from which the material was taken and a link.
    • Other material from scholarly sources should include the author(s)' name(s), the article's name, and the date.
    • Failure to provide attribution for material from outside sources, including images, is plagiarism!
