I am here to help you learn. I don’t need to know the details, but I do expect you to be straightforward and respectful to all participants in this course, including yourself and me. 

I am here to work with you to make this course a successful experience and to help you get the most out of it that you can.  An understanding of where you are starting from will help me do that.  This part of the "Getting to Know You Survey" is anonymous.   You get points for completing both parts of the survey.
