Read:
You did a Venn diagram about what is the same and different between your country and the United States. You used key words or ideas in the diagram. The next step is to organize those ideas. We call this an outline.
Before you write, you use an outline to organize your ideas. The first part of your outline is the introduction. This is where you put the main, or most important, idea. Then, you write the supporting ideas. Supporting ideas explain or give examples. They go in the body, or middle, of the outline. The last part of your outline is the conclusion. The conclusion is the last idea of the paragraph. It can be similar to the main idea, or it can be an opinion.
