Read:
A pronoun is a word that we use in the place of a noun. When we write sentences, we usually use a noun in the first sentence we write, so we know what the pronoun is referring to. Then, we use the pronoun in the next sentence.
Example:
Bob ate a sandwich. He was hungry.
