Welcome to [Course Name]!

Put a brief welcome message or video here. Consider linking from here to a 'Meet the Instructor' or 'Instructor Introduction' page.

Course Content

Inform your students what content is in Canvas and where to find it. Is all content in Canvas? Is there a required textbook? Is some in Canvas and some accessed via a publisher website? This is a good place to provide a general overview of course content, where it is and how to access it. Consider linking to Course Description & Outcomes from here as well.

Course Communications

Inform your students how you will communicate with them, and how they should communicate with you. Will you use Announcements in Canvas? What information can students expect to receive via Announcements? Will you use the Canvas Inbox for your main channel of one-to-one communication, or is direct email okay too? Will you leave comments in the SpeedGrader? What about the Live Course Chat tool? Which notification settings should students adopt to ensure they are informed of important communications? There are a number of ways to interact and communicate with your students in Canvas (and otherwise), and they need to be informed of your course communication strategy and how to communicate within the course to maximize their success. Consider including buttons or links to communication channels.
